During the winter months Toronto is beautiful frozen city, but where are its inhabitants? Oh, they’re just hiding inside, trying to avoid the frigid temperatures. Come the summer months (which apparently includes May now?!) the city has thawed, the sun is shining bright, and it’s hard to make a Torontonian come inside from the many patios and parks the city has to offer.

Prize for the ultimate outdoor Toronto activity has to be the music festivals. With crop tops on top, cut-offs on the bottom, cold beer in one hand, and the other left free to dance above your head – Toronto has a plethora of outdoor music fests to get you swaying with the crowd. Here’s a playlist we’ve compiled to get you better acquainted with the musicians visiting our fine city in the month of June.

  • Field Trip: June 6-7
  • Father John Misty – Strange Encounter
  • Alabama Shakes – Sound & Color
  • Purity Ring- Heart Sigh
  • BESTIVAL: June 12 – 13
  • Banks – Goddess
  • Caribou – Can’t Do Without You
  • Flume – Lay Me Down Remix
  • NXNE: June 17 -21
  • Baths – Ocean Death
  • Majical Cloudz – Childhood’s End
  • Zola Jesus – Dangerous Days
  • LUMINATO: June 19 – 28
  • St. Vincent – Teenage Talk
  • How to Dress Well – Words I Don’t Remember
