4 Ways to De-Stress Your Life

Hey babes! We know sometimes life can just get the best of you and things get hard. With that in mind, the B+B team has compiled a list of 4 things we do in order to de-stress and to live our lives positively.


#1: Keep a journal beside your bed: I know this sounds silly but you would be surprised the wonders of writing down your thoughts! Each morning when you wake up write down three things you are thankful for and then each night before going to sleep list down three good things that happened that day. This ensures you start and end your day on a positive note and only focus on the good things. One of our favourite journals is the 5 minute journal, you can click on the link and check it out!


#2: Exercise: Now, we know not everyone is going to love this one but it is key to live a healthy and balanced life. Exercise and other physical activity actually releases endorphins into the brain.These are the brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters and can improve sleep and reduce stress levels in individuals. By no means does this mean you have to partake in rigorous exercise seven days a week to feel good. It can even be something as little as taking a walk through a trail or stretching in your room, all it takes is 20 minutes in a day!


#3: Surround yourself with positive people: I know this one seems like a no brainer but you would be surprised! The key to living a less stressful life is to take out the people that give you the stress in the first place. Surround yourself with only the genuine and loving individuals in your life. The minute you get rid of the negativity, your life will change in remarkable ways.


#4: Unplug for the day: This means for at least an hour in your day no cell phone, no laptop, no technology! Block out the outside world for a little while and take some “me” time. Whether that means taking a nice bath or catching up on reading, it will give you a break. A lot of the times we often forget how dependent we are to technology and the negative aspects that come with it. So for a little while a day, enjoy your own company and recharge!
